Job Description

ACT Blade Ltd develops and commercialises the ACT Blade technology, a lightweight wind turbine blade. At this stage, the company is developing the ACT Blade product. ACT Blade is looking for a Part-Time Composite Material and Manufacturing Specialist, who is willing to work in continental Europe, as required.

In addition to the composite material and manufacturing expertise, the ideal candidate should have at least 10 years’ experience in the design and manufacturing of wind turbine blade.

The candidate must have good attitude to carry out challenging tasks, leadership and be flexible with good communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Process mapping concept and process/material design improvement.
  • Manufacturing Process Design and Implementation
  • Infusion and Adhesion of large composite structure

Basic Requirements

  • Experience of infusion of various composite structures
  • Knowledge and practice of lean manufacturing;
  • Project management skills; numerical and analytical capability;
  • Problem solving ability;
  • Global and deep blade production process and processes/materials design knowledge
  • Six Sigma green or black certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 5-years university or MSc equivalent in Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Material Engineering.
  • A minimum of five years of working experience with prototyping and new blade developments
  • Must be fluent in English and able to write reports
  • Ability to integrate in a dynamically evolving team
  • Ability to travel in Europe and working abroad.
